The first quadratic funding round on Injective

The Injective Illuminate Hackathon 2023 (https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/illuminate/detail) was an unforgettable experience for avid INJ ecosystem builders. Now something more exciting is coming: the first-ever Injective-native community quadratic funding round will start from March 18th to April 8th!

From over 120 amazing project submissions from the Illuminate Hackathon, 11 teams stand out as the grantees for this QF round A total of 1500 INJ (~$70,000) from Dora Factory’s PGS (Public Good Staking) reserve will be provided as the matching fund pool. Community members will decide collectively on the distribution of the fund pool based on their votes (direct contributions in $INJ) using the quadratic funding algorithm. This marks the first implementation of quadratic funding for Injective.

How to Vote

Step 1: Click on the cart icon, and connect to your INJ address in Keplr/Metamask wallet.
Step 2: Select projects to support in the contribution cart, and adjust the contribution count. (min=0.01 INJ)
Step 3: Click “Confirm” to submit your votes. Your voting history will be recorded on-chain.

How Does Quadratic Funding Work with Injective Quadratic Funding Round?

Contribute with $INJ: Your contributions, starting from as little as 0.01 INJ, are translated into votes directly supporting the projects of your choice.
Calculation: As a voter adds more $INJ to a project, their influence on fund distribution diminishes. Each contribution’s influence is calculated based on the weighted amount in the algorithm: 0.01 INJ (1 vote) counts as 1 vote, 0.02 INJ counts as √2 votes, and n*0.01 INJ equals √n votes. The Cart will automatically handle these complex calculations for you.
Progressive Tax: PT ensures fair distribution, even to those with minimal or no INJ contributions. The difference between the top and bottom projects on the leaderboard is kept minimal. The lowest-ranked project receives at least 1/10 of the grants of the top project.
Anti-sybil attack check: After the community quadratic funding period ends, there will be an anti-sybil attack check on the voting history recorded in the contract, to prevent unfair distribution of the match funding pool caused by sybil attacks.
