What’s Next?

  1. Submissions undergo prompt review by the DoraHacks team. We'll reach out if we need further clarification or when the grant is ready for distribution.
  2. For expedited reviews, don't hesitate to contact us using the provided methods below.

Grant Distribution

The grant program offers eligible communities both an initial grant and ongoing support based on achieved milestones. Here's how it works:

  1. Initial Grants: Upon review of community applications, successful applicants will receive an initial grant ranging from $500 to $1,000, determined by the review results.
  2. Long-Term Subsequent Grants: Grantees of the initial grants become eligible for ongoing support through subsequent grants. This means communities will continue to receive grants as they achieve specific milestones.
    • Setting Milestones: Milestones can be established in two ways. Communities can either select milestones from the task wishlist provided by DoraHacks or propose new milestones for discussion. Direct communication with DoraHacks is necessary for both options.
    • Flexible Grant Amounts: Grants in the long-term program are not fixed amounts. Grantee communities propose grant amounts based on their corresponding milestones, which are then subject to approval by the DoraHacks team.

Task Wishlist

Initial Grant Tasks: Share details of a recent community activity you plan to host. All types of activities are acceptable, such as workshops, lectures, meetups, demo days, hackathons, competitions, etc.

Subsequent Grant Task Wishlist:

  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to Dora Dojo by hosting topic-study sessions, inviting speakers, proposing new topics, and more.
  • Event Organization: Organize virtual or in-person events, including workshops, talk sessions, project demos, hackathons, challenges, competitions, and other relevant events.
  • Builder Referral: Refer builders to participate in hackathons, grant programs, or solve bounties on DoraHacks.
  • Other Initiatives: Open to communities with unique contributions not covered in the above lists. Propose milestones aligned with your community's strengths and goals.

Judging Criteria

  • Growth: Assess the growth trajectory of the community, considering both the number of members and the duration since its inception.
  • Vitality: Evaluate the level of engagement and activity within the community, including participation in discussions, events, and projects, etc.
  • Management: Examine the community's management practices and environment to ensure they are conducive to fostering a friendly atmosphere and are resilient against fraudulent activities.
  • Intention: Review the proposed utilization of grants and the community's commitment to sustaining its development over time.
  • Innovation: Assess the community's creativity and innovation in implementing new ideas and approaches to address challenges or opportunities.
  • Impact: Evaluate the tangible impact of the community's initiatives on its members and the broader ecosystem, including any measurable outcomes or achievements.
  • Collaboration: Consider the extent to which the community fosters collaboration and cooperation among its members, as well as its willingness to engage with external partners or stakeholders.
