1. Eligibility

  • The hackathon is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
  • Participants can be individuals, startups, or teams from around the globe.

2. Submission Guidelines

  • All submissions must use both the Calimero and IC SDKs and be related to the hackathon’s theme of privacy dApps.
  • Participants are required to submit a pitch deck outlining their project’s details along with the final code.

3. Intellectual Property

  • Participants retain full ownership of their submissions. However, by entering the hackathon, participants grant the organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to showcase, promote, and use the project for marketing and promotional purposes.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics. Plagiarism, copying, or any form of cheating will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Harassment or discriminatory behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and will lead to disqualification and potential reporting to authorities if necessary.

5. Judging & Prizes

  • Judging will be conducted by a panel of industry experts and will be based on criteria such as creativity, technical complexity, utilization of the Calimero and ICP tech stacks, real-world impact, scalability, and user experience.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
  • The decision of the judges is final and binding.

6. Disqualification & Withdrawal

  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team found to be in violation of these terms and conditions.
  • Participants can choose to withdraw from the hackathon at any point. However, any work submitted up to the point of withdrawal will not be considered for judging.

7. Liability & Warranty

  • The organizers are not liable for any technical issues or disruptions that may occur during the hackathon.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are free from malicious code or vulnerabilities.

8. Modifications & Cancellation

  • The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the hackathon at their discretion. Any changes will be communicated to the participants in a timely manner.
