Introduction

Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains like Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium, etc, and Standalone Chains like Polygon POS, designed for flexibility and developers. Workshops will be carried out by the veteran Polygon’s Developers and the industry leaders. These are designed for not just the developers but also the crypto enthusiasts who want to stay tuned with the Multi-Billion Dollar full-stack scaling industry.

Starting August 28, 2021, the Polygon Grant Online Hackathon is officially launched at dorahacks.io, DoraHacks’ open source developer incentive platform. The Hackathon is sponsored by Polygon with a $100,000 prize pool to encourage developers to contribute early-stage projects and ideas to the Polygon ecosystem. The whole prize pool will be allocated based on the results of the community voting as well as judges’ voting results. Developers from around the world are welcome to submit blockchain projects of ALL sorts based on Polygon!

In addition to the generous prizes, the Polygon technical team has designed a series of workshops to explain how to get started building on Polygon, and the Polygon eco-leaders will explain what benefits are available to everyone who joins the Polygon ecosystem.

Let’s BUILD on Polygon - Ethereum's Internet of Blockchains!

https://vitalik.ca/general/2019/12/07/quadratic.html Please refer to Vitalik Buterin's article “Quadratic Payments:A Primer" if you are not familiar with Quadratic Voting and Quadratic Funding mechanisms.

An explanation article in Chinese is written by Eric Zhang (https://www.matataki.io/p/6113).

DoraHacks provides quadratic funding tools to the DoraHacks global hackathon community.

There are two funding sources -- the community donation and the sponsor's prize pool.

For individual community contributors: you can donate to any project(s) you like with your wallet. By clicking "Vote" following that project, you will be able to enter votes and the smart contract will return the cost (or the amount of donation) for the votes. Your votes will eventually determine how the sponsor pool gets distributed.

Before voting, make sure your wallet is connected to Polygon Mainnet and you have MATIC tokens ready. The first vote will cost 1 MATIC.

This QF round is using the Quadratic Funding V2 Protocol. Details of the new protocol can be found here: https://dorafactory.medium.com/quadratic-funding-v2-protocol-anti-sybil-fairness-and-scalability-on-chain-2a7aec43541c

There is a major new component in the Quadratic Funding V2 Protocol -- the quadratic progressive tax system. The QF V2 protocol uses the quadratic progressive tax system to mitigate inequality of the original quadratic funding protocol.
