Overview

In 2024, DoraHacks proudly supported numerous great hackathons worldwide, fostering vibrant communities where students came together to collaborate, innovate, and tackle real-world challenges in cutting-edge tech fields like Blockchain, AI, Quantum Computing, Space Tech, and beyond. Building on this momentum, we’re excited to launch the Student BUIDL Grant, a long-term mini grant program specifically designed to support research-oriented and project-driven BUIDLs. This initiative aims to provide financial support, empower students, and help them take their projects and research to new heights.

Entry Requirements

  • Open to both individuals and teams.
  • Academic backgrounds in relevant technical fields are considered advantageous.
  • Research backed by publications will receive significant attention and is highly encouraged.

Grant Details

  • Total Initial Grant Pool: $10,000 USD
  • Amount per Grant: $500–$1,000 USD
  • Further Support: For recipients showing consistent progress, additional grants may be provided.

Evaluation Process

  • Frequency: Quarterly evaluations of submissions.

  • Process: Our team will reach out to schedule follow-up meetings and ask questions as needed.

  • Judging Criteria:

    • Originality: Is the project unique and innovative?
    • Feasibility: Are the concepts backed by academic papers, research, or a functional MVP?

Tips for Applicants

To improve your chances of securing a grant, we recommend including detailed and clear information in your application. Key areas to cover:

  • Comprehensive team details.
  • Important links (e.g., websites, demo videos, documents).
  • Progress made so far.
  • Any previous grants secured and their allocation.
  • A clear roadmap with at least three upcoming milestones.
  • A detailed explanation of how you plan to utilize the DoraHacks grant.
