Purpose

  • To deliver a flagship hackathon event in 2022 for Klaytn ecosystem driving the growth of Klaytn’s developer community and ecosystem adoption, via ecosystem partnership and support.
  • To leverage the creativity and diversity of developer communities involved to build DApps and use cases on Klaytn ecosystem, while onboarding more Web2 developers into Web3 world with Klaytn blockchain ecosystem.
  • To grow our global developer community of Klaytn with a Klaytn flagship developer event of 2022 engaging with our developer community.
  • This campaign focuses on building enhancement features to the Klaytn core protocol, dapps and use cases to the Klaytn ecosystem which could diversify the tools and use cases available for Klaytn core development and ecosystem development.
  • By the end of the Hackathon, we should see an uptick in the number of Dapps/ proof-of-concepts/related blockchain use cases on the Klaytn ecosystem in different fields such as core protocol, metaverse & NFTs, DAO, DeFi and Public Goods.

Tracks

  • The Klaytn Core+ track - for developers who are interested in driving improvement and building toolings on Klaytn core protocol.
  • The Metaverse & NFTs track - for developers who are interested in building use cases and toolings in Metaverse & NFTs to support the growth of Klaytn ecosystem in these aspects.
  • The DAO track - for developers who are interested in DAO use cases or its supporting toolings on the Klaytn ecosystem to drive the growth of community use cases on Klaytn ecosystem.
  • The Fi+ track - for developers who are interested in building use cases and its supporting toolings of any Fi+ fields (e.g. DeFi, GameFi, MetaFi, SocialFi, etc.) on Klaytn ecosystem.
  • The Public Goods track - for developers to take the chance to build use cases and toolings on the Klaytn ecosystem that could make a difference against public difficulties (e.g. climate change, pollution, war, oppression, economic inequality, fake news, etc.) and on any potential social impact.

Sponsor challenge applicants, please choose "Bounty-only" track when submitting your BUIDL and selecting track.

Challenge Requirement

  • To provide a URL to your open source code repository for the ecosystem/tooling application
  • To provide a URL to interact with the ecosystem/tooling application
  • To provide a video that demonstrates the ecosystem/tooling application

Entry Requirements

  • The participants are over 18 years old or are the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside at the time of entry in the Hackathon; or a business, and in each case have registered with the Klaytn Foundation;
  • The participant is residents of a jurisdiction where entry in the Hackathon is not prohibited by law;
  • The participant’s participation in the Hackathon is not in violation of any national, state, or local law or regulation applicable to the participant;
  • The participant’s Entry is in English;
  • The participant successfully passes KYC, as applicable, according to a process that, in the sole discretion of Klaytn Foundation, is deemed sufficient.
  • The Hackathon is open to individuals and entities that have submitted a completed Hackathon Entry via the Hackathon website located at https://dorahacks.io/hackathon (the “Hackathon Site”). If you are an employee of Klaytn Foundation or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates or an immediate family member of anyone thereof, you are eligible to participate in the Hackathon but are ineligible to win or receive Prizes or Additional Funding Opportunities.
  • Klaytn Foundation reserves the right to investigate and verify, conditionally reject, or reject outright any tendered Entry, in our sole and absolute discretion, that we in good faith determine may not, or does not, meet the above criteria or any terms and conditions for this Hackathon.
  • Any project that are willing to build on Klaytn mainnet/testnet/local deployment, Klaytn smart contract standards, Klaytn development tools, or use cases related to the Klaytn ecosystem, and if the participants considering to submit for any sponsors’ bounties, their submission must include the components as set out in the requirements of individual sponsors’ bounties.
