Which Projects Are Eligible to Participate in QV and Share the Prize Pool?
Evaluation Criteria:
- Projects without a GitHub link will not be eligible.
- Projects without a detailed project description will not be eligible.
- Projects clearly unrelated to BNB or the sponsor’s theme will not be eligible.
What is QV?
Imagine a voting system that captures not just what people prefer, but how strongly they feel about their choices - that's Quadratic Voting (QV). Unlike traditional voting where everyone gets the same single vote, QV lets participants express the intensity of their preferences. While this concept is often discussed in political contexts, we found an innovative application at hackathons.
At hackathons, developers create diverse projects that can be difficult to rank effectively through conventional voting. By implementing QV, we allow participants to signal both their favourite projects and how passionate they feel about them, leading to more nuanced and meaningful project evaluations.
