About Taiko

Taiko is a type-1, Based rollup that scales Ethereum in a manner that emulates Ethereum as closely as possible - both technically and non-technically. More specifically, Taiko is an Ethereum-equivalent ZK-Rollup, scaling Ethereum by supporting all EVM opcodes in a layer-2 architecture that is decentralized, permissionless, and secure.

The Grant Factory Hackathon

The Grant Factory Hackathon, where innovation meets opportunity in the Taiko Ecosystem, has successfully concluded at the end of the year 2024. This hackathon invites new and existing projects to bring groundbreaking features to life across three dynamic tracks: Work Hard, Play Hard, and Do Good. By the end of this event, teams will have deployed a project on Taiko and crafted a polished grant proposal for submission.

Now as part of the judging process, the community is now invited to vote for their favorite projects, and impact the final results of the hackathon!

[Important]: The voting round is invite-only . All the participants (wallet addresses) in Taiko Trailblazer S1/S2/S3 will be whitelisted and be able to vote.

Voting Mechanism: The Largest-Ever MACI Voting Round on Taiko, and any EVM Chain

The Minimum Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) is a robust protocol designed to safeguard the integrity of voting processes by preventing issues such as collusion and bot voting. MACI ensures voter anonymity by separating the roles of administrators and users, resulting in fully anonymous voting outcomes. This mechanism provides a secure and fair environment for decentralized voting.

In a MACI voting round, only whitelisted addresses are eligible to participate. The smart contract will recognize and validate votes exclusively from these approved addresses. With nearly 1 million addresses on the whitelist, ** Taiko is partnering with DoraHacks to host the largest-ever MACI voting round (or any on-chain voting round) on an EVM-compatible chain** !

How to Ensure Your Vote is Valid

To successfully cast your vote, please ensure that you use the address registered in Taiko's Trailblazer program. Only addresses from this program are whitelisted and allowed to participate in the voting process.
