The Force Awakens: Black Hole Orbital Mechanics N-Body Simulator

Concretizing the physics formulas we've all seen in class - making them more approachable - by means of interactive gravity visualization. Simulating orbital mechanics for deep-space navigation and missions.

An accessible, interactive and adaptable sandbox in which the powers of gravitational fields, forces and accelerations can be observed - and harnessed.

The Force Awakens is an n-body orbital mechanics simulator aimed towards democratizing physics visualizations by means of interactivity - a key aspect of effective education.

Planets and stars orbit around a central black hole in 3D space by applying the gravitional formulas and Newtonian Mechanics. Adding real and fictional bodies with actual masses and radii is possible with our user interface. A QR code can also be scanned, opening a web app, where the user may shake their phone to add a body into the simulation.

To run our code please follow the instructions on our Github repository.
