Submissions are open up to July 6, 2023 (11:00 pm BRT)

Where do I submit my build?

Please submit it via https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/patex-hackathon/

Can I submit my EVM project? Do I have to integrate it with Patex Network before I submit it?

Yes, you can submit any EVM compatible project - you don’t have to integrate it immediately with Patex Network. But, if you do integrate it, it’s a plus.

Can one team propose a submission in more than one track? Or just one per team?

Yes, teams can submit multiple projects.

Will you have any workshops during the hackathon?

Yes, we will create workshops very soon

What are the requirements for the code developed for the hackathon? Does my code have to be public?

Yes your contract code must be public but full project doesn’t - we check how your project works not how it was developed

Are there any restrictions post-hackathon regarding the code developed during the hackathon?

No

Can we use a third-party tool or API for our project?

Yes, you can.

Can we copy code from other projects?

It's possible if the project license allows this

Are there any legal restrictions?

Please check T&C and Privacy Notice for any restrictions that may apply.

Can we receive feedback about a project during the hackathon?

Sure, our judges are here to help you

Can a participant submit two different builds on different tracks?

Sure, if the two projects are markedly different, you can submit multiple projects in multiple tracks. If they are very similar, it might be preferable to include them in one submission.

Do we have to submit a pitch deck and demo? Video? Website? Marketing plan?

You don’t have to submit a pitch deck and demo - but if you do it will improve your chances of winning. The same with a website and marketing plan - the better you present your project, the more likely the judges will like it.

**Is it necessary for the Hackathon code to be entirely new? **

No, it can be any EVM-compatible application, but it should be your code and your project - you cannot copy code.

How is the prize pool divided?

The prize distribution will be as follows: First place: $7,000 Second place: $3,000 Third place: $2,000 Fourth place: $2,000 Fifth-tenth place: $1,000 Note: first-fourth place prizes are only available for project tracks, while fifth-tenth place prizes are available for project and vulnerability discovery tracks. What are the suggestions to give my project the best chance of winning?

How ready is your project for release and how prepared is your team for that?

For example - tailor your project to our network, think of unique use cases for our target market, Latin America. Include as much info as possible.

Judging criteria for projects?
