Source Protocol Track

Use Cloudmos to Deploy an Application on the Source Blockchain

About Source:

SOURCE is a public, permission-less blockchain network for global payments and all things web3. Enterprises, developers and individuals can utilize SOURCE's infrastructure to create user-friendly apps, smart contracts, and tools for web3, real world asset tokenization, NFTs, and more. SOURCE is actively working with enterprise businesses to create blockchain solutions that harness the power of IBC and the Cosmos Ecosystem.

SOURCE is a standalone, layer 1, proof-of-stake blockchain, based in the Cosmos Hub IBC ecosystem (the Interchain). SOURCE has been built with the Cosmos SDK, the Tendermint BFT consensus mechanism, and the CosmWasm Smart Contract Engine.

Secret Network IBC track

This track emphasizes using IBC Hooks between Akash Network and Secret Network for cross-chain functionality. To be considered for a prize, your dApp must implement IBC hooks between Akash and Secret Network, and utilize Secret for some type of confidential computation. For example, getting a secure random number from Secret VRF, performing a private swap on Shade Protocol, or privately tallying votes for a DAO on Akash. See here for a Secret Network developer tutorial on IBC hooks and cross-chain randomness.

🏆 BOUNTY PRIZE AMOUNT

  • Total prizes of $1000 USD paid in $SCRT

ABOUT SECRET NETWORK

Secret Network offers scalable permissionless smart contracts with a private by default design— bringing novel use cases to blockchain not feasible on public systems. Secret Network is built with the Cosmos SDK bringing interoperable privacy to the entire Cosmos ecosystem. Secret Contracts are an implementation of the Rust-based smart contract compiling toolkit CosmWasm, adding confidential computation possibilities.

RESOURCES

Submissions must contain/have:

Documentation: Provide clear and concise documentation of your projects. This should include setup instructions, usage guidelines, and any additional information that helps judges and other developers understand the project.

Demo or Video: Create a demo or video showcasing your project's functionality. Videos are particularly helpful in conveying the project's value and can be easily shared and understood by judges and the public.

Open Source:

Make their projects open source. This fosters collaboration, allows others to learn from your code, and contributes to the broader developer community.

Jackal x Akash Bounty

About Jackal:

The Jackal Protocol provides a decentralized infrastructure for secure and scalable data storage, enabling individuals, developers, and enterprises to protect their data privacy and improve their cybersecurity posture. It offers a platform for building decentralized applications, managing access control and ownership, transferring encrypted data, and maintaining self-custodial control over data, all without relying on centralized storage providers or intermediaries.

Resources:

Bounty:

  • First place: $1000 of JKL & 1 year 10TB storage
  • Second place: $500 of JKL & 1 year 5TB storage
  • Third place: $200 of JKL & 1 year 1TB storage

Description:

Build an application that stores data on the Jackal Protocol (testnet or mainnet) from inside an Akash Container.

Submission Requirements:

Documentation:

Ensure your project comes with comprehensive documentation, usage guidelines, and any supplementary details that can assist judges and fellow developers in using and grading the project.

Demo:

Must include a demo or video showcasing your project.

Open Source:

Submitted projects must be open source. This is both for security guarantees but also promotes collaboration and discovery for future projects.

Example Projects/Requests for Projects

  • Decentralized web2 Jackal bridge
  • Game storing state data to Jackal
  • Etc.

Filebase IPFS Innovation Track

About Filebase:

Filebase is a cutting-edge IPFS pinning platform that leverages decentralized technologies such as IPFS to provide scalable and secure file storage solutions. With Filebase, users can pin, store, and retrieve their data with ease while benefiting from the decentralized nature of IPFS, ensuring better security and redundancy.

Visit Filebase.com for more information.

Description:

Develop innovative solutions or applications that utilize Filebase for IPFS pinning, integrating Akash Network's decentralized cloud services to enhance your project's deployment capabilities. Potential projects could include decentralized blogs, video protocols, or AI tools that leverage IPFS for long-term memory storage, all while utilizing Akash to manage and scale compute resources efficiently. This integration should highlight the synergies between decentralized storage and compute platforms, showcasing the enhanced capabilities when both services are utilized. To fully utilize higher-level functionalities such as uploading HTML files or accessing our pinning API programmatically, participants will need a paid account. We have provided a promo code "akashathon" for first-time users, valid until May 17th, 2024, to access our Starter Plan.

Bounty Rewards:

  • First Place: $240 credit towards Filebase Starter Plan.
  • Second Place: $120 credit towards Filebase Starter Plan.
  • Third Place: $60 credit towards Filebase Starter Plan.

Note: Credits correspond to up to 800 GB of IPFS storage and bandwidth consumption per month. If the allocated credit is exhausted before the duration ends the plan will not continue without additional payment.

Submission Requirements:

  • Documentation: Your project must include comprehensive documentation that details setup instructions, usage guidelines, and ideally, the system architecture. Additionally, documentation should include how Filebase & Akash were used to deploy and manage your application.
  • Demo or Video: Provide a brief demo or video that showcases your project’s functionality. This visual presentation should demonstrate how effectively Filebase’s IPFS service and Akash’s cloud services are integrated and utilized.
  • Code: Projects must be open source, as judges will need to review your implementation of Filebase and Akash into the project.
