Market making strategies on on-chain exchanges for retail users

The goal of Root is to build an on-chain institutional trading firm that democratizes market making and high-frequency trading products for the retail.

Root v1 (hackathon submission) enables retail users to bootstrap liquidity on on-chain orderbooks and earn trading fees.

Problem: AMMs have worked well in the past but the futuristic decentralized exchanges (RFQ based systems and order books) are quite complicated for retail users to add liquidity to. In crypto, liquidity management vaults are one of the biggest product market fit as it enables retail users to make markets for illiquid assets and earn fees. With the developments in DEX designs, the exchanges are becoming advanced and complicated, which can be overwhelming for current users.

Solution: Root provides users with automated trading vaults where users simply have to deposit funds. Each vault will have its own trading strategy to bootstrap liquidity on exchanges and make money for its users.

We're currently building on Phoenix and Openbook exchanges on Solana network and are portable to any exchange on Solana, Ethereum, Aptos, Sui, and Cosmos ecosystem.
