Blockto

Blockto is a decentralized social platform on Aptos Blockchain for digital artists and photographers, designed to safeguard content ownership.

  • Crypto / Web3
  • Aptos
  • Filecoin
  • IPFS
  • DAO / Community
  • NFT
  • Social
  • Creator Economy

Problems:

  1. When digital artists or photographers post their original content on regular social platforms like instagram, their content ownership is not preserved, because somebody else can just repost the same picture, and the users have no way of knowing who is the original creator of this.

  2. Copy Minting: On NFT Marketplaces there are a lot of duplicates of the popular NFT Collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club, which can cause the people to buy the fake one.

How does Blockto solve these problems?
When a creator posts a picture on Blockto, it directly gets minted as an NFT on the Aptos Blockchain, and then let's say somebody else tries to post a very similar picture that is not differentiable by a human, then our AI algorithm in the backend will detect this similarity, and if it is more than a particular threshold which is 95%, then it will prevent it from getting posted and getting minted as an NFT.

Existing marketplaces can also integrate with Blockto's SDK to get the AI similarity detection feature and prevent copy-minting.

Is this just another social platform?
No, Blockto is building a whole new ecosystem for other social platforms to build on top of, kind of like Lens Protocol but with our unique AI similarity detection and NFT Minting capability. You can refer to the docs here to get started: Blockto Documentation

Upcoming Enhancements:
Since the pictures are getting minted as NFTs, this also paves a way for an NFT Marketplace, so Blockto will also position itself as an NFT Marketplace where creators can directly sell these NFTs to their fans.
