How does blood flow through the body? Using Poiseuille's equations, we can model laminar blood flow through a healthy vessel modelled after the abdominal aorta. Then, by adding turbulent flow and inelastic collisions, we can model blood behaviour with atherosclerosis. In addition, we modelled blood behaviour with anemia, Raynaud's phenomenon, and an aneurysm.
The app has been developed using Vue.js for the web interface, as well as Vercel for the web deployment. The simulation can go up to more than 10'000 particles, but that number has been reduced to ensure good performance on any device, as the webpage can also be used on mobile devices.
