Introduction

Verb is an advanced Aggregator of Aggregators designed to optimize multi-chain swaps focusing on Aptos by comparing and utilizing both decentralized and centralized exchanges. It intelligently determines the most cost-efficient route for each trade, taking into account volume-based CEX fees, cross-chain bridge costs, and gas fees on DEXs. If a trade can be further optimized by splitting between CEX and DEX routes, Verb seamlessly integrates both paths to provide the lowest overall cost, ensuring users always get the best deal when swapping into the Aptos ecosystem.

Key Features

  • Fee Optimization: Verb compares CEX and DEX routes to minimize fees for users swapping into the Aptos ecosystem.
  • Cross-Chain Support: Verb supports token swaps across 22 different blockchains into Aptos.
  • Wormhole Integration: Secure cross-chain transfers using the Wormhole bridge, with support for fast and efficient transfers to Aptos.
  • Aggregator of Aggregators: Verb taps into various DEX aggregators and CEX platforms to find the most optimized path for token swaps.
  • Aptos-Centric: Designed to provide low-fee swaps into Aptos, making it easy for users to transfer assets from other chains.
  • CEX Swaps Optimization: When using CEX options, Verb utilizes its own listed swaps on CEX to execute trades efficiently, then withdraws to the user’s address, optimizing the time taken for swapping.

Technicals

  • Blockchains Supported: Verb allows cross-chain swaps to Aptos from Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, Fantom, and more (22 in total).
  • Cross-Chain Bridge: Utilizes Wormhole for secure bridging between blockchains, ensuring safe token transfers.
  • DEX and CEX Aggregators: Verb compares fees from decentralized exchanges like Uniswap, SushiSwap, and centralized exchanges like Binance or KuCoin.
  • Fee Calculation: Verb calculates fees for both DEX gas fees and CEX volume-based fees, factoring in bridge costs to choose the optimal path.
  • Simultaneous Routes: If splitting the swap between CEX and DEX reduces costs further, Verb will dynamically use both routes.

Total Workflow

  1. User Inputs: The user specifies the token they wish to swap, the blockchain they’re on, and the desired output token on the Aptos blockchain.
  2. Route Calculation: Verb compares both DEX and CEX options, factoring in volume-based fees for CEX, gas fees, and bridge fees for DEX.
  3. Route Selection: Verb selects the most cost-effective option, prioritizing the lowest fee route for the user, or splits the trade between CEX and DEX if it further reduces costs.
  4. Execution: Verb completes the token swap, either using a single route or a combination, and bridges the resulting tokens to the Aptos blockchain using Wormhole.
  5. Token Delivery: The tokens are sent directly to the user's Aptos wallet, with a transparent breakdown of fees.

User Flow

  1. Step 1: Enter Swap Details The user provides the source token (e.g., USDT), the source blockchain (e.g., Ethereum), and the desired output token (e.g., APT on Aptos).
  2. Step 2: Verb Searches for the Best Route Verb checks both CEX and DEX options to find the optimal path, considering CEX volume fees, DEX gas fees, and cross-chain bridge costs
  3. Step 3: Verb Chooses or Splits Routes
    • If CEX fees are lower than DEX + bridge fees, Verb will use the CEX route.
    • If DEX + bridge fees are lower, Verb will prioritize the DEX route.
    • If splitting the swap between CEX and DEX reduces costs further, Verb will dynamically combine both options.
  4. Step 4: Verb Executes the Swap Verb initiates the swap on the selected exchange(s), utilizing its own listed swaps on CEX for efficient trading, then withdrawing to the user’s address.
  5. Step 5: Receive Tokens The user receives their swapped tokens (APT) in their Aptos wallet, with a detailed summary of the fees incurred during the process.
