Traditional brand loyalty systems use unique centralized points that users actually own only to a limited extent. Such “ownership” leads to situations of inefficiency when the points issued to a program member for some reason are not monetized by him/her into a joint benefit with the brand and “hang up” instead of being monetized on the free market.
