Empower individuals to take ownership of their digital identity via user-friendly ways to manage and upkeep data. Verify your personal identity and get a verified account badge in Telegram. Have your telegram account reputation score calculated and verified.
Miêu tả
The MVP will include a smart-contract that allows users to request verification of the telegram account (name) for the proof of identity. Each smart-contract is owned by some KYC provider, who must specify fee requirements for their services and an address which will be used for signing off the KYC requests from users. Any user may request a KYC check by paying a specified fee. Then the KYC provider may update the user's KYC status.
This is a POC, where we will have a mock of a KYC provider and a web interface through which user-provider communication happens. We aim to demonstrate the KYC verification flow as the aim of the hackathon.
Our ultimate vision is to build a Verifiable Credentials ecosystem compliant to w3’s DID specification and design goals related to Decentralization, Privacy, Security, Discoverability, and Interoperability.
Here are some of the examples of usage we envision:
- Choose what parts of information about your identity (verifiable credential) you wish to share and with whom (verifiers - 3rd party services and protocols).
- Get accepted to restricted telegram channels and groups:
- Based on age restriction: e.g. prove that you are above 18 years of age.
- Based on professional expertise or personal achievements: for example get your github account verified to get accepted to a private developer chat, or get your twitter follower count verified and get accepted into a special marketing group.
- Quantify web3 credit risk, get personalized credit score based on your DeFi activity across TON blockchain and beyond (e.g. credit scoring provider may and should analyze different blockchains and different protocols). Get discounts and incentives based on your credit score by presenting your verifiable credentials to DeFi protocols at the point of sale. Go as far as under collateralized loans and microlending directly in telegram through telegram web app integrations.
