FARM GRID

Farm Grid is a Defi yield optimization protocol for African real farm stakeholders, empowering farmers with blockchain technology and promotion of one health. Farm Grid encourages agriculture from all over the globe, with a reliable internet connection anyone can stake in agriculture. Our blockchain product is an automated fiat “on-ramps” and “off-ramps” where stakeholders stake with FIAT (USD, NAIRA, KES etc); they are connected to a local account number to make deposit which in turn, the unknown seller's BUSD is posted via XEND SDK. The same process is repeated when the stakeholder wishes to terminate their contract (another user will deposit fiat to the stakeholder's account).
StakeHolders will own farms and agro products/livestocks as NFTs. Basically you can own a real farm in Africa linked to the farm's NFT. One can purchase an egg in the farm digitally which will eventually hatch into a chick and mature into a hen. We are creating the First farm metaverse where we would have gaming, the Farm Grid NFT marketplace and Farming.

Problem statement:

1.    There are about 855,134,664 malnourished people in the world including women and children
   

2.    A lot of investors want to promote agriculture and food production but do not have access to the real farmers
   

3.    Millions of farmers in Africa even with the natural endowment of a fertile/arable land do not have the necessary resources to produce quality and enough food
   

4. Due to scarce resources and an attempt to succeed however, some employ unhealthy tactics towards production of both livestock and crops
5. Lack of adequate extension services in rural Africa

Solution we are offering:

1.    Building a platform that allows anyone irrespective of geographical location to participate in farming activities
   

2.    In a bid to optimize yield, Farm grid will integrate a Defi protocol like Xend finance
   

3.    We bring blockchain solution to people without blockchain knowledge
   

4.    Representing Farms/ Livestocks as NFTs
   

5.    Farmers sensitization and support through research and effective communication.
   

6.   Promote knowledge about zoonotic diseases and antibiotic resistance among farmers.
   

7.   Help reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers and chemicals on edible crops through extension services.
   

8. Promote environmental well-being through afforestation and waste management.
