Twitch Predictions mechanics is kind of fun - viewers use internal Channel Points from a dedicated pool to vote for certain outcomes.

However, it falls short when it comes to fulfilling it’s original purpose - viewer engagement.

Channel Points are the ones to blame - not only they can't be used outside of Twitch, but their supply is also limited making viewers wait for periodic top-ups.

Luckily, Tontch is here to solve this. With economy element added, Predictions start making a lot more sense:

  • streamers are motivated to host Predictions as now they are receiving a fee for doing so,
  • viewers are much more interested as now they not only can gain TON, - but also their engagement is not limited by internal Channel Points anymore.

Despite starting with a focus on Twitch streamers and their audience, we anticipate significant opportunities for market expansion and revenue growth in the near future.

F.A.Q.

Is Tontch a gambling platform?

No. Unlike traditional bookmakers and parimutuel betting, we do not create bets or determine odds, and we do not profit from Predictions. Our revenue model is based solely on fees from withdrawals. Users can use their deposited TON coins for Predictions as many times as they like without any additional charges.

Why do Streamers need Tontch?

  • Tontch helps Streamers to engage the audience through a re-invented TON-based Prediction mechanics, which is now also more captivating for Viewers due to the economy element.
  • Additionally, Streamers can monetize by earning TON fees for every Prediction they host on Tontch.

How does Tontch work?

  1. Streamer sets up a Prediction on Twitch;
  2. the event is automatically mirrored in Tontch platform, Viewers are notified through the streamer's Telegram channel via Tontch Bot;
  3. Viewers enter the event on Tontch by link and vote with TON using their balances;
  4. upon Prediction resolution, all participants are notified about event results through the Telegram Bot, their TON balances are updated according to the event results considering their vote volume & voting ratio;
  5. Streamer receives certain TON amount, depending on a predefined fee, from each hosted event.

What are the elements of Tontch Platform?

Tontch Mini App. This is the core of the platform where Predictions are hosted by Streamers and being discovered and voted on by Viewers.

Tontch Announcer Bot. This is a Telegram Bot natively built-in into streamer’s Telegram channel and used to announce the start of Tontch Prediction to the audience.

Tontch Reporter Bot. This is a Telegram Bot that keeps Prediction participants informed about the Prediction result upon it’s resolution.

How did you estimate the Market Size?

We’ve been focusing primarily on SOM (Launch Market) and SAM (Expansion Market) estimation, as these 2 slices are the most realistic, relevant and representative ones.

Our main assumption for SOM determination is that we need to target the most Telegram-loyal audience, having the largest overlap between active Twitch channels and Telegram downloads in recent years.

  • SOM (launch Market) - Russian speaking Twitch broadcasters who have active Telegram channels for audience engagement - approx. 3550 Streamers.
  • SAM (Expansion Market) - Previous category + Rest of Russian speaking + English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese speaking Twitch broadcasters - approx. 87000 Streamers.
  • TAM (Total Market) - Previous category + All other Twitch broadcasters - approx. 91000 Streamers.
  • *PAM (Potential Market) *- Previous category + Broadcasters using other streaming platforms such as KICK, YouTube Gaming, Trovo, etc. - calculation in progress.

We expect to attract at least 10% of Streamers on each stage.
