Problem Statement

Today, over one billion people worldwide are learning English, with slightly fewer people studying other languages. Most of this learning is done through courses that focus on grammar and practical language use. However, vocabulary acquisition remains a key aspect of independent study.

This daily routine process often reduces motivation for language learning. Many students stop practicing their vocabulary after completing courses and partially lose it.

Solution

We have created a Telegram app for daily vocabulary learning and practice using gamification techniques to help users maintain their motivation.

Motivation

We have implemented several gamification techniques to make the learning and repetition process engaging:

  • Training sessions in the form of adventures and tests
  • Competitions between users and teams
  • Leaderboards
  • Opportunities to earn rare items
  • Rewards in the form of game tokens

Target Audience

Our target audience is users aged 7 to 50, regardless of location or gender. Thus, practically all Telegram users fall within our target audience.

Business Model

The business model is based on several approaches:

  • Freemium: Easy entry without investments.
  • In-app purchases of digital items.
  • Tokenomics based on the Learn to Earn principles.

Market

There are over 250 language learning apps on each platform, offering various features and approaches to learning. These apps have hundreds of millions of users. There is a demand for new solutions, as there is no clear market leader, and existing apps are becoming outdated.

Product Description

The app is presented as a social multiplayer game where the user takes on the role of a tourist journeying through the path of learning foreign words. Each day, the user needs to learn a certain number of words to reach the next stop, where they can test themselves and compete with other users.

Currently, the app is actively being developed by an experienced team that includes not only programmers but also a foreign language teacher-methodologist. So far, several functional tasks have been implemented:

  • Frontend and Backend for user registration, learning, and training
  • Multilingual UI (7 languages)
  • Project token (TON testnet)
  • Smart contracts for token issuance (TON testnet)
  • Smart contracts for in-game item purchases (TON testnet)
