Summary

Mobile games are fun when you own your process! Glory Arena is an online multiplayer board game where you battle with other players to earn $Glory and craft rare cards you can sell as NFT. We started this project on April 1st and we are excited to continue its development to make it as fun and addictive as possible.

Mechanics of Glory Arena

  • Cards are your heroes! Each hero has default attributes with different abilities that can be activated with various chances. Players earn cards by playing the game and leveling them up by merging them or buying them as NFT at GetGems. Cards have different Classes and they can be like rock-paper-scissors.
  • Lineup: A group of cards is a 2x2 format is your lineup! Each card has a unique ability and can be more strong while used with some specific cards. Choose your lineup wisely.
  • to Merge cards you need two similar cards at the same level to create a new card with one level higher! the new card has more power and even more ability! They can rule the battle!
  • Players can Earn Cards by playing the game and winning the battles, playing side missions, or inviting their friends with referral links.
  • Owned cards can be minted as NFT and be sold at GetGems. If players are missing a card to merge and create Legendary cards, they can buy them at GetGems.
  • Tournaments are the best place to earn $$. On a fixed period, like every 3 days, new tournaments get started in the game. Tournaments have different entry fees for different types of players with various amounts of prizes. Smaller tournaments have coins as prizes and more advanced ones give Rare Cards and $Glory as prizes.
  • Clans are the most important part of the game. They can participate in clan wars and earn legendary prizes. Clan members help each other a lot to make each other more powerful. There are many mechanics for clans we have in mind to develop in the next milestone.
  • Missions are the best place to increase your power. There are many powerful pre-defined lineups to defeat! Defeating each lineup for the first time gives the player great prizes at the first time and daily prizes to be claimed daily!
  • There is a Leaderboard for each tournament. Inviting the players to climb up and increase their power.
  • Players will receive grouped notifications to stay up to date with battles and other features of the game.
  • Share your legendary battles in group chats or private messages. So, your friends can also see its playback.

Economy

  • Coins are the cheapest unit of economy in this game. Players can earn coins by inviting their friends with their referral links, logging in hourly, claiming their free coins, or buying them at the shop.
  • Coins are needed to do basic mechanics of the game such as starting a new battle and merging some mid-level cards.
  • $Glory is the on-chain token. It is rare and players will receive it by winning tournaments or can buy it on platforms like DeDust. $Glory is needed to merge Legendary cards or as a fee to participate in Advance Leagues. In a nutshell, $Glory combined with NFTs can increase the TON TVL ( More details at Blockchain Technical below).
  • Legendary cards are the most powerful cards in the game. They can be minted by merging max-level cards with a dynamic amount of $Glory. They can be the deciding factor in winning advanced tournaments and earning more $$.

Game Technical

Technologies used to build the game are Golang as a fast and highly scalable solution for the backend, and Solidjs for building fast and small-sized packages for the client. We decided to use MariaDB as the database (we have deep experience in scaling projects on MariaDB with clusters) and during the development, we reached 1k RPS with 100 concurrency which is enough for this early stages of the development. Besides Golang benchmarks we are planning to run comprehensive benchmarks with Locust Swarm and fix any bottlenecks that may be in the project, and with a scalable design, the project can be easily scaled out. Each battle is a simulation that is executed on the server within a transaction and only tooks less than 0.5ms. No real-time communication is needed. We have followed this design because it proved us to be reliable with other experiences.

The GloryArena Contracts consist of two distinct components:

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs):

  • Development: We have developed this segment to transform game cards into Web3 NFTs, enhancing their value and tradability across Web3 NFT marketplaces.

  • Uniqueness and Standard: Each NFT is unique and adheres to the TEP-0066 standard, which allows our team to earn passive income through various NFT marketplaces like GetGems.

  • Game Integration: Each NFT card is tradable and possesses specific abilities within the game.

  • Verification: All minted NFTs are part of the Glory Arena collectible series, ensuring authenticity and preventing fraudulent accounts.

  • Standard Details: For more information on the TEP-0066 standard, please visit TEP-0066 NFT Royalty Standard.

Jetton (Fungible Token):

  • Compliance and Integration: This component complies with the TEP-0074 standard, ensuring support across the entire ecosystem, including DEXes, wallets, and potential future centralized exchanges.
  • Usage: The jetton token is utilized form merging legendary cards, participating in advance leagues, and as part of the reward system.
  • Rewards: Rewards for the game leaderboards will be distributed in jettons, not NFT cards.
  • Transaction Fees: Jettons incur a 5% transaction fee, with 2.5% allocated to players as rewards.

Impact on Total Value Locked (TVL) in the Short and Long Term

  • Trading and Fees: While NFTs can be traded on platforms like GetGems, this activity alone does not contribute to TVL growth within the TON ecosystem. To address this, we have implemented a fee structure on jetton transfers and trades.
  • Fee Allocation: Each jetton trade includes a 2.5% fee, part of which is used to buy back jettons and lock them in DEXes such as STON or Dedust. This strategy is designed to significantly enhance the project's liquidity and support gradual growth as more players engage with our game.

Summary of Project Financial Flow

  • Team Income: Generated from NFT trades.
  • Reward System: Funded by 2.5% of jetton trade fees.
  • TVL Growth: Driven by the reinvestment of 2.5% of jetton trade fees into the ecosystem.
