HackAVS Announces Sponsor Bounties, Funding AVS/Restaking Builders with $49,500 in Prizes (More prizes to be updated)

HackAVS, an EigenLayer AVS Global Hackathon organized by Hacker Dojo, now announced its sponsor bounties with an initial prize pool of $49,500. Bounties are provided by Drosera, Movement Labs, OpenLayer, Brevis, WitnessChain, Polymer and Inco Network respectively to fund teams building different categories in the AVS/Restaking ecosystem.

An all-star lineup of judges and mentors will be your helpers in building the next killer dApp, including the 7 sponsors, other AVS core projects(builders) and tier-1 VCs such as EigenLayer, A16Z Crypto, Zaki Manian and many more.

This hackathon opens for project submissions until June 6th. It welcomes all builders who are eager to innovate using Eigen Layer’s AVSes. For any questions regarding the hackathon/bounties (whether they’re technical or non-tech), please ask for support at Telegram .

Movement Labs: Development of Actively Validated Services (AVS) Using Movement Labs and EigenLayer Technologies

Prize Amount: $3,500 USDC + $30K in later grants

Blurb: Leverage the unique capabilities of both Movement Labs and EigenLayer to develop AVS that enhance the Ethereum ecosystem! This bounty includes using Movement Labs’ SDK or other technologies to foster seamless integration and functionality enhancement.

Inco Network: Killer use case leveraging Confidential Compute

Prize Amount: $2500

Blurb: Utilize our cutting-edge FHE (fully homomorphic encryption) tech to deploy confidential smart contracts with our fhEVM (FHE + EVM). Solidity knowledge is all you need.

Drosera: Build exploit/risk detection contracts with Drosera’s Trap framework

Prize Amount: $2500

Blurb: dApps and middlewares utilizing Drosera technology (i.e. decentralized incident response) delegate security to a network of node operators using solidity smart contract code.

OpenLayer: Integrate with OpenLayer's oracle on Holesky testnet and request or use the provided commodity prices in the project.

Prize Amount: $1000.

Brevis: Integrate with OpenLayer's oracle on Holesky testnet and request or use the provided commodity prices in the project.

Prize Amount: To be announced later.

Blurb: Brevis allows smart contracts to trustlessly read historical on-chain states/tx/events and run customizable computations on top at low cost, enabling data-driven dApp UX. No ZK knowledge is required. Build with Brevis and win amazing prizes.

WitnessChain

  1. DePIN: Usecases on WitnessChain
  2. WitnessChain empowered Rollup Watchtower

Benefits:

  • get a chance to join the team
  • your project gets resources and incubation support from the team

Polymer: Implementation Guide: Cross-Environment Operations Bridge

Blurb: Develop a operator registry and multisig contract that operates across Optimism and Base Sepolia using Polymer.

Prize Amount: $10,000.

About Hacker Dojo

Hacker Dojo is an open-source knowledge community for encryption and Web3 cutting-edge technology jointly built by hackers. Dōjō will regularly organize sharing sessions in the form of live/audio/text, covering topics including but not limited to L1 and L2 consensus algorithms, architecture, GitHub repo-related content, including but not limited to Scroll/Polygon zkEVM, Eigen's hybrid proof system, Starkware, azTec, Optimism, Zecrey, Aptos, Move, cryptography (zero-knowledge proof, public key encryption, hash function, lattice cryptography), distributed systems, Ethereum protocol stack, quantum computing and quantum information, satellite communication systems, and spacecraft system design.

About Eigen Layer

EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum that introduces restaking, a new primitive in cryptoeconomic security. This primitive enables the reuse of ETH on the consensus layer. Users that stake ETH natively or with a liquid staking token (LST) can opt-in to EigenLayer smart contracts to restake their ETH or LST and extend cryptoeconomic security to additional applications on the network to earn additional rewards.
