MACI Quadratic Voting Guide

Gas Station Coverage: This MACI voting round includes a gas station to cover on-chain voting fees. When your wallet is linked, it will still display a gas fee, but the system will not deduct any $DORA tokens from your wallet.

What's MACI?

The Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) is a secure, private, on-chain voting system designed to minimize cheating risks like bribery and collusion. Using zero-knowledge proofs, MACI ensures receipt-free voting, making it so only the vote coordinator can verify individual votes while allowing anyone to verify overall results. This makes MACI particularly valuable for governance and funding events, ensuring fair and transparent outcomes.

What’s the difference between regular grant program Quadratic Funding (QF) and MACI-QV?

In regular QF (Quadratic Funding), voters will need to use certain tokens (such as ATOM) to cast votes while make direct contributions to the grantees. The contribution portal for active grantees is always open. How to contribute>> To learn more, switch to the “Detail” tab for more information.

In the AEZ Quadratic Grant Round 5, part of the grant funding pool (31,111 USDC) will be distributed based on MACI voting results, the other part (8,000 ATOM) will be decided by the regular Quadratic Funding results at https://dorahacks.io/aez/maci-voting/results
