ETH Research Grant Application Guide

ABOUT ETH Research Grant

Initiated by Hacker Dōjo, ETH Research Grant is dedicated to funding projects and research topics in the Ethereum community and promoting the further development of Ethereum. A rolling monthly review is conducted on the Grant, which has a long-term validity.The monthly prize pool is up to 5,000 USDT and individual projects are funded at 300-1,000 USDT. The first round of this event will begin on December 12, 2022 and the review will end on January 14, 2023.

Hacker Dōjo is an open source knowledge community for Web3 cutting-edge technologies centered on the underlying technologies and cutting-edge topics. Our team is devoted to promoting Web3 technology and inspiring more people to participate in the never-ending development movement.

Timeline

  • ETH Research Grant is a long-term funding program to support Ethereum ecological research, and the application channel is valid for a long time. Project selection and grant distribution are conducted on a monthly basis. Here is the schedule:

Getting Started [3-5 MIN]

  1. BUILDers should submit their BUIDL projects via https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/eth-research-grant/detail . But before that, make sure that you already have an account.

Use the Sign in/up button at the upper right corner of the page to access the sign-up options.

Github, crypto wallet and email are supported for creating an account. For BUIDLers, we recommend you to connect the account to your github to make more people know what you are building at any time.

2. Before the submission of DDL on Jan 15 2023, please make sure you have added your Github link to the project. You can submit the project first, edit it later before the DDL.

Go to https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/eth-research-grant/detailand click “Submit BUIDL”.

→ If you already have a BUIDL on DoraHacks

Choose your BUIDL project from "Apply with Existing BUIDL" and identify the track you want to join.

→ If you want to submit a new BUIDL project

Click “Create a new BUIDL” and fill in the form as required. You'll be directed to "Apply for ETH Research Grant" page after the new BUIDL setup.

Fill in the form to offer the information about your project. Note that for demo, demo link and social media, please offer URLs (with http/https://).

Don't forget to check "I agree to the User Agreement".

Back to Application window.  Choose your BUIDL project from "Apply with Existing BUIDL" and identify the track you want to join.

When submission succeeds, you'll see this notification.

3. (Optional) Fill in your hacker profile as required. To help potential partners and investors better know you and your project, please tell us more about you as much as possible :).

Project Verification

How to update/iterate BUIDL information

Click [Avatar] -> [Profile] to enter the Account Center, and click the "Edit" button on the top right of the BUIDL to update the BUIDL information.
