BUIDLer's Guide: Ontology Grant Hackathon

BUIDLer's Guide: Ontology Grant Hackathon

Ontology is launching the Ontology Grant Hackathon with DoraHacks through April, 2022! A pool of $100,000 is available for developers of projects that support Web3 development on the Ontology EVM ecosystem.

Projects that are committed to long term development and are excited to explore the potential of contributing to Web3 with the new Ontology EVM are welcome. We are particularly interested in Web3 projects that have a focus or incorporate the benefits of Decentralized Identity (DID) and are interested in utilising the specialist tools offered by Ontology.

Where to join: https://dorahacks.io/grant/ontology/detail

Feel free to join the DoraHacks developer community and hang out with other hackers, developers, judges and investors! https://discord.gg/86y7YusrPk

Getting Started

  1. BUILDers should submit their BUIDL projects via https://dorahacks.io/grant/ontology/detail . But before that, make sure that you already have an account.

Use the  Sign in/up button at the upper right corner of the page to access the sign-up options.

Github, crypto wallet and email are supported for creating an account. For hackers, we recommend you to connect the account to your Github to make more people know what you are building at any time.

*You may be asked to receive a verification code via email. The email may take some time to arrive. No worries! The code will not expire in 10 minutes when you click “send code”.

2. Before the submission of DDL on May 31st, please make sure you have added your Github link to the project. You can submit the project first, edit it later before the DDL.

Go to https://dorahacks.io/grant/ontology/detail and click “Apply for the Grant”.

Connect your wallet to signup on-chain. On-chain activities cost gas. Please make sure you have some ONG balance (at least 0.2 ONG) in your wallet.

*If you don't have enough balance in your wallet, please contact us for support before going forward. Find us at Telegram @hackerlinkofficial / Discord  https://discord.gg/86y7YusrPk

→ If you already have a BUIDL on DoraHacks

Choose your BUIDL project from "Apply with Existing BUIDL" and identify the track you want to join.

→ If you are new to DoraHacks or want to submit a new BUIDL

Before submitting, you need to create a BUIDL project. Click “Create a new BUIDL” and fill in the form as required. You'll be directed to "Apply for Ontology Grant '' page AFTER the new BUIDL setup.

Don't forget to check "I agree to the User Agreement".

Back to Application window.  Choose your BUIDL project from "Apply with Existing BUIDL".

Then your wallet will pop up if you're using a browser wallet extension. Click confirm to register and give gas fee. Please make sure you have some ONG balance (at least 0.2 ONG) in your wallet.

*If you don't have enough balance in your wallet, please contact us for support before going forward. Find us at Telegram @hackerlinkofficial / Discord  https://discord.gg/86y7YusrPk

When submission succeeds, you'll see this notification.

Project Verification

Wait! Don't just leave your BUIDL here and forget about it. Please contact DoraHacks staff on Telegram @hackerlinkofficial for project verification and promotional support. We'll make every BUIDL a poster and arrange a live project demo session for you via Youtube Live/Binance Live. Don't let go of the chance to receive huge visibility!

Or, you can also reach us out by finding any admin at discord  https://discord.gg/BaPCHNJcmS

About Ontology

Ontology is a project designed to bring trust, privacy, and security to Web3 through decentralized identity and data solutions. It is building the infrastructure to provide trusted access to Web3, allowing individuals and enterprises to rest assured that through regulatory compliant digital identity solutions, users and their privacy come first.

The Ontology blockchain is a high speed, low cost public blockchain bringing decentralized identity and data solutions to Web3. Increasing privacy, transparency, and trust, the high speed, low cost, layer 2 blockchain is designed to give users and enterprises the flexibility to build blockchain-based solutions that suit their needs, while also ensuring regulatory compliance. Through Ontology’s Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), Ontology ensures frictionless compatibility with Ethereum, the first step in the creation of the Ontology Multi-Virtual Machine and further interoperability for the chain.
