MACI Quadratic Voting Rules (AEZ Quadratic Grant): https://dorahacks.io/aez/maci-voting/detail
Quick Video Guide
Step-by-step Guide
Gas Fee (Reimbursement) - Gas Station
This MACI voting round includes a gas station to cover on-chain voting fees, so you don't need tokens in your wallet. However, when you link your wallet it might still display a gas fee. Don't worry! The system will not attempt to deduct any $DORA tokens from your wallet.
Note: The gas station may be temporarily exhausted if too many voters use it. If this happens, please contact @dorahacksofficial on Telegram to report it, and we'll recharge the gas station immediately.
Step 0
Only ATOM stakers at any of these validators will be eligible to vote.
To check your eligibility, please try connecting your wallet on this page to see if you’re able to Sign Up.
If you see this notification, it means that your address was not whitelisted to participate in the vote.
Step 1
Click “Sign Up” to register to vote. It may take a few minutes to verify your address on-chain.
Step 2
Signed up? You’re now able to vote! Check out the grantee details at https://dorahacks.io/aez/maci-voting and find your favorite projects.
You can give multiple votes to multiple projects. Beware that your N votes for one certain project cost N² voice credits.
The number of voice credits you receive is directly proportional to the amount of $ATOM you are staking, with N $ATOM equating to N voice credit. Any fraction of an $ATOM is rounded up to the next whole number. For example:
- 0.5 $ATOM staked = 1 voice credit.
- 1.2 $ATOM staked = 2 voice credits.
- 124.7 $ATOM staked = 125 voice credits.
Step 3
Scroll down and click “Submit” to finish. It may take a few minutes to verify your address on-chain.
Changed your mind? Click “Start Revote” to cancel your previous votes.
Why MACI Quadratic Voting
What's MACI?
The Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) is a secure, private, on-chain voting system designed to minimize cheating risks like bribery and collusion. Using zero-knowledge proofs, MACI ensures receipt-free voting, making it so only the vote coordinator can verify individual votes while allowing anyone to verify overall results. This makes MACI particularly valuable for governance and funding events, ensuring fair and transparent outcomes.
What’s the difference between regular grant program Quadratic Funding (QF) and MACI-QV?
In regular QF (Quadratic Funding), voters will need to use certain tokens (such as ATOM) to cast votes while make direct contributions to the grantees. The contribution portal for active grantees is always open. How to contribute>> To learn more, switch to the “Detail” tab for more information.
In the AEZ Quadratic Grant Round 5, part of the grant funding pool (31,111 USDC) will be distributed based on MACI voting results, the other part (8,000 ATOM) will be decided by the regular Quadratic Funding results at https://dorahacks.io/aez/maci-voting/results
